"The Little League® International Tournament Committee has removed the
Southeast Region from the 2017 Junior League Softball World Series for
violation of Little League’s policies regarding unsportsmanlike conduct,
inappropriate use of social media, and the high standard that Little
League International holds for all its participants.”
The Atlee Junior League softball team representing the Southeast Region was disqualified from the World Series championship game on Saturday for inappropriate behavior.
They're dumbfounded! and so is their hometown. They didn't seem to see the problem with it all and are rather perturbed about the whole situation.
But, one thing the hometown newspaper seemingly failed to provide was the real photo that got the team booted. Hint! The picture shown in this particular article isn't the picture that got them booted. Though the article appears to suggest it is by omitting the link to the real photo.
You can find the photo that got them booted here!
I guess it's something their proud parents didn't seem to be too inappropriate. Being that they're the good, sweet 12-15 yrs. old girls their parents raised them to be and their fans claim they are.
Funny how the press will attempt to mislead folks. Even via articles as simple as the one found at this team's hometown rag.
I guess times have changed, eh.
