There's good days and there's bad days. Today was a good/bad day.
I love a great, engaging "discussion" and really appreciate passionate debates but I surely don't like "shout downs" and bullying. I was on the internet earlier today and noted a fellow was running around belittling folks and their opinions re: a certain political candidate who really had no business running for office, in my opinion.
The fellow I stumbled on obviously wasn't open to discussion nor would he agree that a certain political party should review their "endorsements" more closely, tacit or otherwise.
The fellow whose real identity I won't reveal on here because, well he's sensitive and I'll respect his "privacy" had a diatribe going re: our POTUS and the Republican Party, the latter of which I could really care less about. I'm an independent voter with conservative tendencies. Though the Republican party is the closest political party to my beliefs I'm not wholly a fan of theirs but, that's a discussion for another day if anyone wants to go there with me.
Either way, you can pick up the conversation in the comments section of this article posted on the World Israel News site
To start things off the fellow's screen identity on the site is cammo99. He's a bit difficult to follow but once you get his writing "style" you can figure out a little bit of his seemingly sporadic thought process. Normally I can have a very rewarding, positive and informative exchange with folks I tend to disagree with online. But this fellow? He simply wasn't hearing or understanding anything other than what he wanted to hear or understand.
It's my opinion that he's making a profound rather idiotic argument that a neo Nazi running for a congressional spot in the Chicago area under the Republican banner wasn't relevant to the Republicans and further, that the Republicans have no duty to and shouldn't have to distance themselves from the racist lunatic. I truly agree he's right. The Republicans have absolutely no "duty" nor legal obligation to distance themselves from the Neo Nazi politico, and they didn't. That's where I disagreed with the republicans. The Neo-Nazi is running for office (he'll lose big time but... perception), he's carrying the Republican's banner and he's on the ballot with the big "R" for Republican by his name. Oh, and he's the ONLY Republican on that ballot.
Either way, the fellow I was chatting with was condoning the apathetic response by the Republicans as unnecessary, meaningless, not required.
Either way, the fellow I was chatting with was condoning the apathetic response by the Republicans as unnecessary, meaningless, not required.
Quite frankly, I have a problem with that. I believe blatant racism should be immediately and boldly called out when it's apparent. Especially when the racist is a self proclaimed neo Nazi who is a life long, card carrying member and a grand poo pah (or whatever they call themselves) of a local Chicago chapter of the Neo Nazi movement in Illinois. He's also a holocaust denier and most definitely an anti-Semite and he's set to win the Republican congressional race by default. He's the only one running.
And the Republicans won't distance themselves from him. I have a problem with that and I wrote as much in the comments. The gentleman I was interacting with adamantly defended the Republicans failure and refusal to distance themselves from this Republican candidate Arthur Jones. In fact, because he ran unopposed the Republican Party in that area at least feels compelled to support his efforts and carry him on the Republican ticket into the next election process.
I should also note the district he's running in is an extremely Democrat oriented district so he really doesn't stand a chance of winning at all.
But the Republicans are still supporting Arthur Jones, a former leader of the American Neo-Nazi party who currently heads a group called the America First Committee of which one of the requirements for membership is open to "white American citizens of European, non-Jewish descent only" in the applicant's background.
Given this and more the Republicans in the Chicago area at least are still refusing to call this Jones fool out for identifying with and using the Republican candidacy to further his political ambitions.
Anyway, here's the thread where the comment that got pulled from the website by Disqus or the World Israel News site was. You might want to visit the discussion (linked above) to get the gist of our discussion.
The link I provided should bring you to a comment made by ammo99. You can go from there. Just take notice that my last post was removed.
Here ya' go!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
To start things off I'll post the original discussion that cammo99 wrote:
"The Klan endorsed President Trump but he never asked for or accepted their endorsement. They endorsed him because he's a white man the DNC hate him because he's a white man they are both bigots and racists President Trump is above it."
-To which I responded:
"The DNC doesn't hate Trump because he's a white man. Don't go there dude. You're blatantly wrong. They don't like him and they might even hate him but they surely don't "hate him because he's white". That's absurd. Personally, I'm tickled to death he's our POTUS given the other choice but hey, I wasn't a fan until he made the final two. The least dangerous, most capable candidate left of the final two selections that were made available to me made my mind up. Yep, I voted for our POTUS Trump. Not because of the party, not because he's white but because he was the only reasonable option left standing."
-And he responded with:
"They hate Trump because he's a white man period and the fact you would think you can tell me not to recognize those racist bigots when I see them as plain as day even bragging about it. It might be more politically correct to say they stir hate because he's a white man people like Kap and Obama and Farrakhan mainstream DNC people but I don;t see the difference. Do you really believe all the black athletes and others taking a knee are doing it because police are shooting black people? That must explain why they disrespect every invitation to the White House that comes their way. Sorry I'm not buying what you are selling. There are the old guard former KKK white demos octogenarian liberal socialists who act like commissars and all they do is stir up the hate like the spectacle we saw during the inauguration. If you don;t think the objection was both that he was white and he was a man you have a short memory, I don't."
-And I wrote:
"Oh my. And I'm the one you couldn't understand.
Personally, I don't recall telling you "not to recognize those racist bigots" when you see them. Actually, I didn't tell you that. You simply chose to write that. I wrote and I'm still writing "the DNC doesn't hate Trump because he's a white man." They don't like him and many most likely hate him but it's not because he's a "white man". Lordy dude! POTUS Trump is an anomaly. He's not a dye in the wool republican, let alone a dye in the wool politico. He ran for POTUS on a Republican ticket simply because he felt the Republican ticket was his best option. And it appears it was, but then the latter part of that last sentence is my opinion after reviewing much of Trump's political "history". I have no idea where you were running off to when you went from "white man" to Kap (who's half white) to obama (same) to Farrakhan "mainstream DNC" folks. You tossed a whole bunch of names and suggestions out there but you left your point hanging and unattended to. Oh, and I'm not even "selling" anything. I'm stating the obvious, at least to me. POTUS Trump's not hated because he's a white man. Nope, he's hated because he's independently wealthy, because he's allied us once again with Israel, because he recognizes Jerusalem as Israel's capitol. He's hated because he wants to defeat ISIS, daesh, genocide. He's hated because he wasn't diplomatic enough, wasn't the typical kiss arse politico vying for a political office. He calls things as he sees them, he's frank, refreshing and though not always politically correct he appears genuinely concerned about our country, about us as citizens, or so I believe. He's hated because he "bucked the system" and won! He's hated because he helped avert a train wreck of a tragedy for this mighty fine United States Of America... but that threat's not yet dissipated! He's hated by the system for having thrown decades of adverse planning off kilter, for the time being at least. That's why he's hated. It's not a racial thing at all, though those who prefer it to be will suggest that simply because that's a volatile issue... errant but volatile. Nope. Trump's hated because he's genuinely concerned about our existence and genuinely trying to change the course we were and still are heading on to some degree... and he's doing just that, changing that course in spite of the global elite, the politicos from both sides of the aisle and elsewhere. You bit on the "race" bait but don't fret, you're not alone. There's oh-so-many more of you "out there" who've blindly dined on that idea for awhile now. I might have even nibbled on it a bit myself at first. Nevertheless, our POTUS Donald J. Trump is doing the job he set out to do... so far. But he's having to fight for every inch of turf along the way. This "deep state" bull shat rolling around re: obama, clinton, Fusion, soros, etc. comes into play quite a bit. It's real and quite frankly it's NOT RACISM... but they would have you think that. And obviously you do. Too bad you blocked me. I'd love to have seen your response. You provoked some great discussion. IMHO. Thank you sir and take care Cammo99. No hard feelings here.
-But alas, either Disqus or World Israel News didn't like my response so they removed it and I posted this one in conclusion...
"I responded to your post here cammo99 but evidently it didn't pass Disqus' muster. I was rather succinct, to the point and informative. I did tell you I believed you were wrong. So, that given I'll let Disqus continue to protect you from the obvious. If you want to read it you can hop right over to my blog. I took the time to copy it and paste it there when I saw Disqus "reviewing" (censoring) my post."
