Bloomberg's "Gun Rationale"

I had this sent to me by a friend of mine (Thanks again Dan). It's a great, "telling" meme that shows how the pampered, the pompous politicos in our country believe they know better than us regarding our firearms, our Second Amendment rights. They're naive at best, totally ignorant and over the top conceited at least if they think they know how we should live our lives and raise our own children.

My brothers and I were raised around guns. Guns, firearms were tools to us. We'd hunt our game, we respect the power, the limits of our firearms and we managed their use, their care. The first pistol I ever fired was a model M1911, Dad's. I was a very young fellow, well before my teens when Dad took "us boys" to a local gravel pit to "shoot some guns". I remember Dad showing me how to grip the gun, putting my little hands in place the best he could and him standing behind me with his hand hovering over the pistol while allowing me to squeeze the trigger. I remember the feeling when the round discharged. Dad's hand kept the 1911 from knocking me senseless with its recoil. He said I "hit the target" (to this day I have to take his word for it) but either way it was a great education. We each had a shotgun and a long rifle of our own on or before we turned 13 years old. We were "plinking" with bb-guns and .22 rifles before we were given our "bigger" guns. According to Dad our 13th birthday was the day he'd hand us our first rifle. Mine was a Winchester '94. Later, when I was old enough my Dad took me to SeaMart and I paid for my first rifle myself, an old German 8mm Mauser with a shorter, smaller stock. That was my primary hunting rifle for quite some time.

A couple of years later, when I was a scant 18 years of age I was invited and did join the United States Army. In June, 1972, three days after I graduated from High School I was standing in some semblance of a formation at Ft. Polk, Louisiana. Lined up and ready to serve my country for the next three years, at least. Nah, I doubt Bloomberg ever took a step outside of his little, spoiled rich, spoon fed, silver lined life. But, I could be wrong... I doubt I am.

Bottom line, my father, brothers and I, my friends included... we all hunted and fished for a lot of our food throughout our lives and somehow we managed to make it well into our 60's and 70's without being shot by any errant rounds or accidents associated with the mishandling of firearms, guns.

Either way, Bloomberg needs to shut up and quit trying to force his pompous, silver spoon "values", "morals", "life" on the rest of us... IMHO.

Washington State Legislators Move Forward re: CPL Information

Washington State's legislature is considering a bill that would prohibit the release of personal information, along with any supporting documentation, from public disclosure for those of us who have a state issued concealed pistol license (CPL). You can get in on the discussion here.

If you have any questions or want to offer input to your state legislator then by all means, contact him/her. Let your voice be heard.

This propose legislation would provide the same right to privacy protection that's been afforded to other Washington residents over the years who have a library card or a bus user authorization pass.

It's about darned time!

National Concealed Carry. Will It Happen?

Legally I mean.

Although it's a Second Amendment Right some states believe it's their right to deny us our right to carry a firearm concealed while others refuse to recognize any concealed firearm carry permit that's not issued by their state.

Yet it's a Second Amendment Right.

So, will this most recent National Concealed Carry legislation make it through all of the legislature hurdles to finally allow us this one right, at least? I'm sure we can discuss all of the "but", "if", "you don't understand", "it's our right" interpretations, etc "but" IT IS OUR RIGHT and I will CONTINUE TO CARRY CONCEALED wherever I go within personal reason.

So, hopefully the Senate of this Mighty Fine United States Of America will finally do its job in relatively short time and vote to approve this legislation.

Until then? I'm a criminal.

Is It Time To Resist?

Our nation as we know it, as we knew it. Is it under siege? Are we just waiting for the other shoe to fall?

obummer and his cronies have this country in more turmoil than I have ever seen in my 60 years of life. I grew up in a military family loyal to the flag, the country, the cause! I enlisted in the Army 3 days after graduating from high school. We were at war and my country needed me so I enlisted.

Since 1975 I have served and am still serving my community in Law Enforcement. I'm intimately familiar with the concept of "harm's way" and view my weapons (personal and government issued) as professional and personal tools of freedom, of peace.

I'm not all that fond of the direction we're heading as a nation and I sure don't trust the current regime's empty promises. There's no doubt in my mind we're being groomed for a more humble, more submissive role in world leadership. I truly believe this latest pack of politicos who're ruining our country are hell bent on bringing us to our knees... call it atonement, call it whatever but they're of the belief we need to suffer, to apologize to the rest of the world for our freedoms, our successes we've enjoyed over the many decades of industrial and financial growth. It's my belief these politicos, both sides of the aisle, are sharing a shame of sorts for our progress made over the decades of prosperity we've enjoyed as a country, as a nation of free thinkers, workers, doers...

I'm not ashamed, I'm not atoning. I have nothing to be ashamed of.

Neither should you, neither do you! We achieve and this group of politicos cry foul?!

Folks, this country as we know it is in harm's way!

What's in store for us? Who knows!

I have no doubt we'll be finding out pretty soon.

Plan to Resist

We are at a critical moment in our nation’s history. The elitists in Washington DC appear they are moving to take away our right to keep and bear arms in direct violation of our second amendment rights.

As such, if legislation is passed it is your right to lawfully resist any attempt to confiscate your arms.

I have come up with a basic plan to hopefully combat this situation and I beg you to please listen to what I have to say.

1. Currently, it is only proposed at this stage. No legislation has been passed. As such, I need everyone who reads this to buy ammo and guns. Also, start training steadily to ensure your accuracy.

2. Since nothing is up for vote quite yet I need each and every one of you to contact your Congressman and Senators every single day until they get the hint.

Email them every day and call once a week. Do not let up the pressure. 3. Sign this petition (also sends an email to your representatives). petition

4. If legislation is passed we must push out state Attorney Generals to sue the federal government so it can be heard before the Supreme Court as unconstitutional. If they won’t listen to you push gun rights groups to sue.

5. DO NOT TURN IN OR REGISTER YOUR WEAPONS. Make them come for them. And keep them stored in different locations.

6. If they do come for you and your weapons do not allow them in your home. It is unconstitutional for them to be there.

7. Video record any attempt to arrest you.

8. I am calling everyone to network with friends and family to create phone trees. Texting 2A to a family member or friend is their signal to call everyone to head to your home to witness, photograph and video everything.

9. Once the media has been taken, upload it immediately. On twitter use the hash tag #2Aalert to notify all in the patriot network.

10. Send to all media outlets possible. Local, as well as independent.

11. Protest in front of court houses, police stations, etc. if anyone you know is unconstitutionally detained.

Gun Control Won't Work!

Our government’s policies are killing us!

In the wake of the senseless tragedy at Newtown, CT I noticed the typical push by the left and the main stream media to further restrict our firearms and ammunition sales, possession and ownership in this, our mighty fine country. Once again the victims of this particular massacre were unarmed innocents in a gun free zone. The shooter, a mentally disturbed individual who had every intention of doing as much or more damage than what he did was the only person in the gun free zone who had the capacity to end the assault.

And he did… when he was finally satisfied, when he turned the gun on himself. Otherwise, the shooting would’ve continued until he either ran out of ammo or targets.

If there had been any known, armed resistance inside of the school that the shooter targeted then it’s highly possible the assault would not have occurred. Even if it had my bet would be that there wouldn’t have been nearly as many innocents killed. Reasonable, prudent, law abiding, gun familiar individuals who are in the protection industry have an absolute duty to protect and serve those they’re assigned to protect and serve.

And they do just that! Protect, serve. They recognize a threat, identify the threat and neutralize the threat using whatever means necessary.

Imposing more restrictions on the purchase, possession and carry of guns, magazines and ammunition simply removes tools from the tool boxes of those of us who are responsible gun owners and shooters. Those who wish to do harm do not care if they’re violating the law, whether there’s innocents in their field of fire or not. They’re intent on doing what they’ve set out to do and they’re going to get it done regardless of who’s in their way or what the laws might restrict. They’ll enter a gun free zone and kill just to kill knowing full well they can inflict horrific damage on oh so many innocents before they’re finally brought down. In most of those situations their sole mission in the end is to kill as many people as they can, make the biggest splash they can and subsequently kill themselves or be killed. Their actions, their name forever etched in history… right, wrong or indifferent.

By imposing gun control on those of us who are law abiding citizens the government simply makes everyone bigger targets. The government becomes an enabler to those who care less about the law, those who are hell bent on destroying as many innocents as they can before they or someone else brings an end to their craziness, their insanity.

Put armed guards in our schools, malls, theaters, stadiums. Anywhere our people gather. Encourage responsible, reasonable gun ownership and carry. Conduct background checks to include psychological testing on those who wish to purchase weapons and those who already own their weapons but wish to carry them in public, require semi annual weapons qualifications. If the government truly feels the pressing need to do something, do that! Don’t restrict us who would intervene if necessary to protect and to serve those who can’t by restricting what weapons, magazines and ammunition we can possess and where we can carry them.

In short, use common sense when trying to solve this “problem”. Punish those who commit the crimes, not those who haven’t.

…and quit making targets out of innocents. Your policies have been and still are failing miserably!

In Chicago there have been 446 school age children shot in leftist utopia run by Rahm Emanuel and that produced Obama, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, etc. 62 school aged children have actually been killed by crazed nuts in Chicago so far this year with almost two weeks to go. So why isn’t this news worthy? Is it because it would embarrass those anti second amendment nuts who brag about Chicago’s tough gun laws? Is it because most of the kids who were shot and killed were minorities? Or is it because the corrupt media doesn’t want to show Chicago in a bad light? Amazingly, no Obama crocodile tears either.

For those of you too dense to get the point of this post, it’s to make the point about gun laws. No matter how tough the gun laws are, the crazed nut jobs will find a way to get them and if they so chose, use them. No draconian law can stop this, no matter how well intentioned the law is, or if it’s just about leftists grabbing power from citizens and taking away their constitutional rights.

These unfortunate figures serve to show that if you take away guns from law abiding citizens, create gun free zones where absolutely no guns are allowed you give the reigns of terror, fear, power and crime to the criminals. Those criminals will do what criminals do... kill, maim, steal and destroy lives, innocence, families, property and honor.

Gun Control is not the way. Responsible gun owners are not your enemies. We're not who you should fear. Responsible gun owners aren't the problem. The problems are those politicos, those criminals, those knee-jerk fools and bleeding heart liberals who simply want control of everything, anything we do at any expense!
