Sessions! Just Shut Up And Do It!

Once again we hear Sessions and the Trump administration rattle that darned "illegal immigrant" sword and thump their chests. Remember those laws, that Bill of Rights, that Constitution and those Amendment things that some pretty dad-gummed "wiser than us" fellows wrote back in the 1700's? Those laws that several others have tweaked since, remember them? I always thought they were and still are pretty simple, common sense laws. They're matter of fact, they're logical, they're succinct and they were written to protect us, the citizens of this MIGHTY FINE United States of America, our republic. So enforce the darned things! Quit posturing! Grow a pair, dammit!

Here's a note contributed to the discussion of the post by Lonney L. Sennet following the referenced article above relating to illegal immigration:

"If we aided and abetted people trying to illegally enter our country, we would be arrested without hesitation and charged with the following:

1907. Title 8, U.S.C. 1324(a) Offenses Title 8, U.S.C. § 1324(a) defines several distinct offenses related to aliens. Subsection 1324(a)(1)(i)-(v) prohibits alien smuggling, domestic transportation of unauthorized aliens, concealing or harboring unauthorized aliens, encouraging or inducing unauthorized aliens to enter the United States, and engaging in a conspiracy or aiding and abetting any of the preceding acts. Subsection 1324(a)(2) prohibits bringing or attempting to bring unauthorized aliens to the United States in any manner whatsoever, even at a designated port of entry. Subsection 1324(a)(3).

Encouraging/Inducing -- Subsection 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv) makes it an offense for any person who -- encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.

Conspiracy/Aiding or Abetting -- Subsection 1324(a)(1)(A)(v) expressly makes it an offense to engage in a conspiracy to commit or aid or abet the commission of the foregoing offenses.

Bringing Aliens to the United States -- Subsection 1324(a)(2) makes it an offense for any person who -- knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has not received prior authorization to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, to bring to or attempts to bring to the United States in any manner whatsoever, such alien, regardless of any official action which may later be taken with respect to such alien."

Regarding Mr. Sennet's post, I think it's spot on! We need to enforce the laws that are already in the books, we need to hold accountable those who violate our laws for the benefit of their political interests/beliefs. If any of us were to harbor, aid, abet any illegal alien to the level these politicos are aiding and abetting them in their "sanctuary cities/states" we'd be imprisoned. It's a simple fact!

A.G. Jeff Sessions, shut up and make it happen. Do something about the illegal harboring, the aiding and abetting of.. well... illegals! Shut up and enforce the darned law! Even if it means ruffling a few feathers in the politico arena! I could care less about bruised egos and "politically correct" rhetoric! Do what must be done! Do your job Jeff Sessions!

Enforce those laws!

THE SR99 TUNNEL PROJECT IN SEATTLE... BERTHA'S BROKEN... update, now it's fixed. Kinda.

Okay, this is a regional thing but it entails the lib mindset of the Pacific Northwest and primarily Seattle, WA.

Seattle and the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) are trying to poke a 1.7 mile tunnel under the city so State Route 99 (the old highway that was replaced by I-5) could continue through the city after the viaduct and a bridge or two were in essence "condemned" awhile back. 

In their infinite wisdom the local and state politicos went out and hired a boring crew with a big, I mean REALLY big... as in REALLY REALLY BIG boring tool to drill a tunnel that would in effect run the highway under the city. 

There's some complications that many of us onlookers wondered about early on when this hair-brained idea cropped up. One of them was that Seattle's built on... well, SEATTLE... or better yet, OLD SEATTLE. Old, wet, muddy, tidal influenced, crumbling, subterranean, archaeologically sensitive Seattle. That means there's a lot of old man made, built to last debris that's most likely going to be very wet, muddy and in the way of this boring machine. I personally found this to be problematic but then, I'm no expert... not even near an expert on these things. In fact I barely qualify as a neophyte so I defer to the experts. All I know about drilling is when I drill in wood and hit something hard that I didn't know was in the wood it's a surprise at best, a new drill bit for sure... 

Upon hearing about the "drill" idea I couldn't help but think that when we as humans wish to get things done and done right we turn to, (God forbid!)... other human beings who know what they're doing and tend to do it well to git 'r done. 

When the tunnel idea came up (after getting past the absurdity of the idea... me being part of the minority) I thought they'd go with a bunch of rough and tough, hard working, know what they're doing and do it well hard rock miners... but nope. That's not the case. The WSDOT, city of Seattle (need I say controlled by libs), King County, guv'nor at the time (need I say democrat, Gregoire) and the current guv'nor (need I say democrat) Inslee all opted for the extremely expensive and problematic "Bertha" drilling machine. 

So approximately 1,000 feet of bored tunnel, beaucoup taxpayer and highway user bucks later the boring machine has once again broke down, has failed to make much progress, is way, way, way behind schedule and is not rescheduled to resume the drilling until March, 2015! (at taxpayer's expense most likely). 

Now, I don't know about you but throughout my life anything that was named "Bertha" was always prone to breaking something and never seemed to satisfy anyone's needs. 

Usually when the need to get things done and done right and on time comes up in conversation or otherwise it was accomplished by getting good old fashioned skilled labor from the working stiffs of the world who excel at what they do for a living directly involved in the project... If that would've happened in Seattle the tunnel would be well on it's way to completion and at least "on schedule".

Oh well, c'est la vie!

Who are these guys???

The Seattle Post Intelligencer and the Seattle Times both refused to print this photograph of two individuals who have made multiple trips on several of the Puget Sound ferries over the past couple of weeks.

The trips themselves weren't all that suspicious. The activities associated with these two mid-eastern appearing males while they made the trips evidently were.

According to witnesses who observed and at times interacted with them, these two reportedly inquired about the structure of the ferries, the routes, the passenger loads, the schedules, security, rush hours and other less than likely things that other ferry passengers wouldn't normally inquire about.

In fact, the information gleaned from those observations and interactions was passed along to the FBI and piqued the Fed's interest. The FBI, in turn passed copies of the photograph shown here to major news outlets located in the fine state of Washington in the interest of public safety.

According to reports, several witnesses were concerned enough by the "suspicious passenger's" activities and inquiries to take it upon themselves to photograph the pair.

Several of the local televised news sources posted the photo on the air along with the accompanying story, adding that the FBI is simply trying to locate the pair so they can chat with them. All the FBI wants to do is identify them and determine the basis of their curiousities and to establish what their intentions are.

The FBI... they simply want to do their job!

...and the Seattle Post Intelligencer and the Seattle Times both refused to publish the picture. Both papers claimed the subjects haven't done anything wrong.

Nothing's been proven, no charges have been levied, they have done nothing wrong. No publishing of pictures. It's as simple as that.

Yet they publish Michael Vick pictures. They publish Barry Bonds pictures. They published Gary Ridgeway pictures... and oh so many more!

All before anyone is charged, tried, convicted, etc.!!!

Those faces sell papers.

The picture of these two guys won't. They're not media celebrities... not yet!

I'm inclined to believe the Seattle Times and the Seattle Post Intelligencer are certainly not acting in the best interests of public safety. I'm inclined to believe the Seattle Times and the Seattle Post Intelligencer are serving their own special, skewed political interests by not aiding in the search for two individuals who, during a time of war act suspiciously and deserve to be interviewed, at least by our FBI.

I'm inclined to believe that the Seattle Times and the Seattle Post Intelligencer are both on the wrong side of this nation's best interests!

Let's hope those two who were photographed truly have no sinister desires. Let's hope they're truly, simply curious as to what makes our ferry system work so well.

As for the Seattle Times and the Seattle Post Intelligencer... well, I've refused to read their crap for years now. I opt to get my news from unbiased, well informed, public oriented sources.

I can only hope others would drop their subscriptions of these long time America hating rags as well.

They're not worthy of wrapping my fish... among other things.
